Product Development Process Manager

DeLaval is looking for a Product Development Process Manager who will be responsible for the continuous improvement and implementation of the global product development processes. As member of the Automatic Milking Systems Engineering team, you will be a key player in ensuring that the company’s product- and system deliveries meet the right quality and performance standards on the global market.

Key Responsibilities and deliverables:

  • Lead the work of developing, improving and implementing a global product development process and structure across the company

  • Suggest improved ways of working in all areas of product development, from idea to release and phase-out of products, systems and services as well as cross-functionally from SW, mechanical, electrical engineering to supply chain and markets.

  • Ensure process support for agile ways of working.

  • “Lead by example” - support the organization and projects by providing “hands on” support when needed.

  • Training team members and management in product development processes

  • Make sure that the process is used in a way so that: 1) product quality is improved, 2) development of new products is simplified and efficient 3) projects can be delivered successfully.

  • Communicate strategies and status for product development process initiatives.

  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement of working methods within the development process area.

  • Operative process owner from “Idea to offer”.

The position is located in Tumba, Sweden. Occasional travel to other DeLaval R&D sites in Poland, USA, China and New Zeeland will be required.

We think that she or he has a strong technical aptitude with a keen interest in people and has the ability to align people to strategy. You know how to drive change based on a passion for taking initiatives and have a strong motivation to take responsibility.

Experience from the tools we use (Polarion, JIRA, Confluence) is a plus.

Your qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of own experience, and interest, of working with product development projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in setting a pragmatic governing body and making it work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to interact with people across functions and cultures.
  • Experience from driving change in a multinational set up.
  • Experience from traditional “waterfall” and agile working methods.
  • Master of science degree or similar and have gained a wide technical experience.
  • English fluent, both orally and in writing.
