Privacy Specialist with IT profile

Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of sustainable transport solutions.

GDPR implementation at Scania - done and dusted? No, we are gradually incorporating it into our daily operations. Although Privacy and Data Protection is nothing new to Scania the GDPR, the General Data Protection Regulation, requests that we change our way of working. A Group Data Protection Office is now being established; to support and monitor the Scania organisation in changing the way of working and doing the right things right in relation to privacy and data protection. ‘IT’ is a prerequisite in our daily operations as well as an essential part of our highly valued customer services, so therefore we need a Privacy Specialist with a strong IT profile to our Data Protection Office. Short-term we are mainly thinking Europe and GDPR compliance but mid-term there are no geographical nor legal restrictions and the aim is rather to think Privacy. The right candidate is expected to influence and contribute to the development of the Data Protection Office, to make it productive and highly appreciated. The Data Protection Office is part of the Group Governance Risk and Compliance function but is also part of an active cross-functional network. In this role you will be reporting to the Group Data Protection Officer.
