With customers’ profitability in mind, Scania wishes to be the leading supplier of sustainable transport. An electric powertrain is currently a key element within development of technology for more sustainable transport solutions, but the technological shift also involves huge challenges, such as finding new ways of working and cooperating, both within Scania and with external parties. Would you like to be part of that?
The Powertrain Control Systems Development department and the Electric and Hybrid Technology section are responsible for systems, components, functions, properties, testing and project management of early customer fleets within the field of e-mobility.
We are currently seeking a manager for the Project and Vehicle Management, NEBX, group who will join the journey of change for electrifying Scania’s future transport solutions.
The group currently consists of project managers, object managers, assignment managers, test managers and mechanics, and therefore offers a broad range of tasks for you as a manager. The projects vary from serial development projects to short, intensive demonstrators, such as induction-charged buses, electric cars or early small-fleet projects, with the common factor being electrification within all areas.
You will ensure that the group has expertise within its work area and will continuously work on developing people and processes. This area is growing and receiving a lot of attention, so you will be expected to actively contribute to representing electrification both within and outside Scania. Your duties will involve a lot of contact with external parties, such as authorities, suppliers and universities.
You will join the Electric and Hybrid Powertrain Technology management team, where we, as part of our diversity work, would hope to see you supplement your other group manager colleagues in the light of your background and previous experience.
You have an MSc in Engineering and a strong interest in leadership, in combination with significant curiosity for new technology and an appreciation of continuously expanding your network. You value good leadership and like developing others.
The dream candidate will also be curious and have humour, clear-sightedness (even under time pressures) and a very strong commitment to creating value through development of work approach, people and technology.
However, the most important thing is that you have an interest in taking new technology forward, and when the usual approaches to work fail, you can find new ones in order to proceed towards making Scania the leader within sustainable transport.
In addition to career and development opportunities, we can also offer Scania employees other benefits, such as a company car, performance bonuses, a pension, flexible working hours, lunch at reduced prices and much more. If you live in Stockholm, we offer a direct bus service between Stockholm and Södertälje, the Scania Jobexpress.
