Manager Delivery Engineering & Framework

Connected Services & Solutions is a fast evolving business area within Scania Sales and Marketing where we aim high to reach Scania’s vision and work close to our partners to develop services for the transport industry and digitalise transport processes.

Since a year back, business and IT-development reside close to each other in the same organisation. Two technical sections, Enablement and Digital Tools, are supporting the two commercial areas Digital Transport Operator and New Business Solutions.

Enablement, the organisation where this position is part of the management team, is divided into five groups, all working in close cooperation with the rest of Connected Services & Solutions, R&D and IT. Areas of responsibilities are Delivery Engineering & Framework, Analytics & Architecture, Data Access & Onboarding, App Enablement and Customer Experience

What you will be doing

As group manager for Delivery Engineering & Framework, you will be responsible for a group of 12 co-workers divided in two development teams. You will have a mix of tasks in terms of recruitment, competence development, coaching of employees, supporting improvement work within teams and product guidance. You will also support the teams in their collaboration with other teams as well as other key stakeholders within and outside Scania.

Team Delivery Engineering

works together with other teams to remove pain points such as shared technical problems, repetitive work or slow deliveries. The team is also a guide and companion for other development teams when taking technical steps, trying new tools or exploring new ways of working.

Team Framework

is focusing on front-end development in close cooperation with UX and product teams. The team is today responsible for how we develop and deliver the front end in our Fleet Management portal and is developing shared components and techniques for all Connected Services & Solutions.

You will work closely with the other managers within the section Enablement and contribute to the management team work such as strategical planning and organisational development.

To succeed in this position you need to be strong in building teams, cross-functional work, be communicative, show drive, initiative and be energized by challenges.

To fit into the role we think you also:

  • have a proven record of leadership experience (not necessary as a manager)
  • have a graduate or master's degree in engineering, IT or equivalent
  • are fluent in English, good knowledge of Swedish is an advantage
  • An interest in the customer is important, and combining this with your knowledge and interest in agile IT system development is exactly we’re looking for!
