Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
We are a dedicated sales team established to further strengthen Scania’s sales of highly profitable Special solutions. Our business is based around two areas; sales to International Bodybuilder’s (OEM’s) and sales to Defence & Relief organisations.
Scania has a strong product offering for these customers and to continue the growth of the business further the focus in the team is understanding the different customers’ strategies, business challenges and operational needs even better in order to improve our complete offering and support, and thereby increase the volume and more importantly Scania’s profitability.
As the Director of Special Sales you will lead a team of twelve highly experienced and motived colleagues. The business is often related to public tenders and requires significant cross functional team efforts all the way from R&D to sales companies, with bodybuilders and the end customers. For you as the manager it will be important to establish and communicate the strategy internally at Scania, drive expansion of the business and continue to develop the team in the next step of the journey.
You will report to, and be a part of the Special Accounts and Product Adaptations Management team and are expected to actively contribute to the establishment of a proactive consultative solution sales practice with customer- and industry- value focus. The responsibility for Special Accounts and Product Adaptations also contains the Mining Industry, Body Building Centre and Product Adaptations.
The position requires travelling and the ability to lead on both strategic as well a as operational level.
We look for a leader with proven communication skills and experience from business development. Well-developed communication, presentation, and leadership skills are required.
We believe that you have a strong drive and entrepreneurial spirit but also the ability to always keep a holistic perspective and balance the important business priorities such as time to market, risk and quality in a structured way.
As the purpose is to generate on growth within a few years, a strong business mind is beneficial.
The candidate should have an academic background and must be able to speak and write English fluently. Knowledge in other languages is highly welcome.
