Big data engineer at SEB in Stockholm

About the position

The Business Intelligence (BI) department currently consists of more than fifty professionals located in both Stockholm and Vilnius who develop and support our BI solutions utilizing Informatica tools. Different streams focus on development within the SEB enterprise data warehouse, administration of the Informatica platform and the development of big data solutions.

You will be part of our big data team and work in an environment with multiple agile teams who are experts in various big data technologies. Your primary responsibilities will include delivery of tasks related to loading and transforming the data within the Hadoop data lake and further making it available for various business applications.


Your profile

To succeed in your role you should have extensive experience in Java, knowledge of application frameworks, experience in application integration, distributed systems and queues (WSMB/MQ, JMS, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ or others) as well as JMX and profiling of Java applications. Experience with tools to enable continuous integration and delivery (Docker, GIT, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus or Artifactory) is also required. Your team will become a spearhead within information services at the bank by testing the new tools and establishing best practices for developing and maintaining the information solutions. It is thus crucial that you are a team player who is willing to grow and learn professionally.

You are skilled in communication, understanding business requirements and collaborating in a multicultural environment. As a forward-thinking expert in your field, you encourage and drive change and continuous improvement across teams, tools and processes. You possess an analytical mindset that enables you to solve complex technical problems, anticipate possible challenges and proactively address those challenges.
